Good morning, This summer we are doing something called "Skills Development". This is in replace of "open gym". Athletes are able to come into the gym and do various skills for their sports. The coaches came up with skills that they should do when they come into the gym. After they finish each skill, they will report that to the coach that is working on the skills development. If students earn the target amount of points earned at the end of the summer, they will earn a reward. The target amount and prize have not been selected yet. This will be determined soon. Athletes will earn points for various things, such as: Skills set by the head coaches that are done at the Skills Development time. Organized Team Practices (Baltic, Pentagon, Sacred Hoops, Warwick, etc.) Games (with refs) Team Camps Individual Camps Perfect Weekly Attendance for Acceleration Daily Attendance for Acceleration Athletes NEED to communicate camps and skills to Coach Whipple (or the fill-in coach), daily. We want to stress that this is skills development time and NOT an open gym time.
