A Youth Robotics Meeting for anyone in 3rd-8th grade will be held on Wednesday, September 16 at 66:00 p.m. in the Baltic Elementary School commons. Come see what the program is all about!
Youth in 3rd-8th grade are invited to participate in Baltic Youth Robotics as a part of the FIRST Lego League program. Students will have the opportunity to build and program a LEGO robot creation, practice teamwork skills, document their process, and gain presentation skills and experience. This year’s theme is BioGlow, which focuses on biodiversity and shows the health of our planet by how plants, animals, and ecosystems work together. Students will explore how innovation can support biodiversity, strengthen communities, and help build a healthier, more connected planet.
Highlights:
Program your LEGO robot to complete missions
Develop a poster to communicate your team and robot
Develop problem-solving, creative thinking, and teamwork skills
Previous coding or LEGO experience NOT required.
Meetings will be held weekly from October to December (5th - 8th graders meet until February-ish depending on when the State Competition is held). Meeting dates/times will be set based on the availability of students and parents involved.

Volunteers are needed! Each team will need parent helpers and coaches to help with crowd control, snacks, poster creation, and general coaching. LEGO Education provides guides to facilitate the meetings and help volunteers and coaches through each session. No experience necessary.
