  • Snow Removal - The Baltic School District is conducting a Request for Proposals (RFP) for snow removal for the 2017-18 school year.  The contractor awarded the project will furnish equipment and supplies necessary to clear all school district parking lots, driveways, the paved playground south of the school, and the paved areas in front and behind the bus and storage garages.  The City of Baltic will plow Bulldog Avenue, but the contractor will plow the parking spaces on the east side of the school.  The contractor will not be responsible for clearing sidewalks.  After significant snowfall on school-day mornings, the contractor must be able to complete all plowing by 7:15am when so instructed by school personnel, or with reasonable notice, at other times as requested by the school district. Contact Supt. Bob Sittig or Maintenance Director Randy Meyer with questions or to schedule a walk-around to discuss specific areas of responsibilities.  Proposals must be submitted to Supt. Bob Sittig by 10:00am on November 1, 2017.


  • Transport Students to CTE Academy- The Baltic School District is searching for a person to transport students to Sioux Falls each school day leaving approximately 8:45am and returning by 10:00am.  The vehicle driven would be a short bus with only a valid drivers license required (no CDL needed).  The pay is $12 per hour with no benefits.  Contact robert.sittig@k12.sd.us or at 529-5464 if interested in the position.

  • Activity bus driver during the school year.  Opportunities for day and evening trips. $13.27 per hour including seat time at the activity ($26.54 minimum).  CDL required.

Substitute Positions

Substitute Teachers in all areas.  $100 per day for certified teachers (not required) and $90 for non-certified. Additional $10 per day after 10 cumulative days subbing in the previous school year.
