Snow Removal - The Baltic School District is conducting a Request for Proposals (RFP) for snow removal for the 2017-18 school year.  The contractor awarded the project will furnish equipment and supplies necessary to clear all school district parking lots, driveways, the paved playground south of the school, and the paved areas in front and behind the bus and storage garages.  The City of Baltic will plow Bulldog Avenue, but the contractor will plow the parking spaces on the east side of the school.  The contractor will not be responsible for clearing sidewalks.  After significant snowfall on school-day mornings, the contractor must be able to complete all plowing by 7:15am when so instructed by school personnel, or with reasonable notice, at other times as requested by the school district. Contact Supt. Bob Sittig or Maintenance Director Randy Meyer with questions or to schedule a walk-around to discuss specific areas of responsibilities.
Proposals must be submitted to Supt. Bob Sittig by 10:00am on November 1, 2017.

Several employment opportunities are available in our school district.

Details on each position are listed below.  Please help us spread the word about these positions to anyone who might be interested.

.  This person would leave for Sioux Falls at approximately 8:50am each day in a school mini-bus (no CDL required) to pick up high school students attending the Career and Technical Academy returning to Baltic by approximately 9:50am.  The pay is $12 per hour with no benefits.  This is an excellent opportunity to earn a little extra cash for a retired person or a parent who drops their children off at school, and the position could be shared by several people.  Contact me for more information or to apply.
